PDI is closely following the latest updates on the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Our commitment to the health and well-being of our employees and customers is very important to us.

We will continue to follow guidance from government agencies and public health organizations, like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and local governments.

Business continuity remains a priority for our leadership team and those that directly serve your needs. In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we’ve proactively expanded our company preparedness plan, in place in the event of natural disasters or other widespread emergencies, to maintain business continuity.

PDI has a long history of serving our clients through times of change and uncertainty, and we remain committed to being a trusted partner of yours during this difficult and unprecedented global event.

Our goals during this time are to ensure the safety and health of our employees and customers. We will continue to leverage our tools and technology to provide mission-critical software and services to run your business, as well as remain flexible during this rapidly evolving situation.

Ways PDI is addressing employee and customer health and well-being

  • We have provided resources and information about personal protection measures and encouraged these best practices to be followed at work and at home to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
  • We have encouraged employees to stay home if they are ill, having symptoms, generally not feeling well, or caring for someone at home that is ill.
  • We have restricted international travel.
  • We have limited domestic travel to employees that are required to travel to a customer location, as agreed upon by the customer.

Ways PDI is ensuring business continuity through remote work for employees

  • We will continue to provide technical help desk support for your systems.
  • Our teams have tools and technology to allow most work to be conducted remotely, and we are encouraging virtual collaboration as a first option.
  • We have taken steps to address business needs regarding remote access and connectivity. Where needed, we have made available the necessary systems and tools to employees.
  • We have prepared our workforce to be able to work remotely, and have encouraged them to do so by following local government guidelines and recommendations. For those with roles that require onsite access to critical systems, we will have rotating shifts in the event of an office closure.
  • PDI will determine if any offices will need to be closed temporarily on a case-by-case basis and keep you informed.
  • We have reviewed key roles and identified contingency plans in the event those team members are unavailable.
  • We have created resource materials to assist employees with important details regarding business continuity.
  • We continue to make knowledge transfer and training a priority to better enable our workforce.
  • We have asked employees to avoid large, in-person meetings and gatherings.
  • We have encouraged employees to use video or teleconference tools to stay productive, as well as connect with customers, projects, and colleagues.

Ways PDI is ensuring high levels of availability for our hosting environments

  • We have reached out to our vendors, including data center providers for business continuity plans, and have received and reviewed all plans.
  • We will continue to support customers connecting to PDI Hosting services as we do today.

Ways PDI is keeping you informed and how to contact us

  • We will continue to provide updates and important information through our usual communication channels, including your account contacts and the customer success team.
  • If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us via your normal channels.

We will work with you to adhere to recommendations and address project implications, whether your project requires an onsite presence, or your preparedness measures limit onsite presence. We have the capability to deliver large portions of projects remotely, therefore we will work with you to mutually assure existing projects stay on course.

PDI continues to review and assess internal and external processes, procedures, and systems as we would in the event of a natural disaster or widespread emergency. Our goal is to maintain the level of service you’ve come to know and expect.

As always, we are committed to providing the support you need to help you run your business. During this pandemic and difficult time, take care of yourself and each other.
